Zach Mitchell will make his Charlton debut in tonight’s Papa John's Trophy game against Brighton & Hove Albion U21s at The Valley.

The 17-year-old becomes the 17th Charlton academy graduate to play for the men’s first-team this season.

Mitchell is expected to start in a back four alongside Sean Clare, Sam Lavelle and Richard Chin in front of goalkeeper Craig MacGillivray.

Aaron Henry, Conor McGrandles and Jake Forster-Caskey are expected to make up a three-man midfield behind captain Jack Payne, Daniel Kanu and Tyreece Campbell.

Elsewhere, Henry Rylah features in a senior matchday squad for the first time. The 17-year-old is joined on the bench by six other academy graduates Ahmed Kone, Terell Thomas, Matt Dench, Albie Morgan, Karoy Anderson and Patrick Casey.
