Charlton’s U18s continued their unbeaten run as they drew 1-1 with QPR U18s at Sparrows Lane on Saturday.
Ellis McMillan found himself on the scoresheet for the young Addicks as he helped salvage a point for Jason Pearce’s side.
There wasn’t much to separate the two sides in the first half. Phillip Sanyaolu opened the scoring for the visitors on 64 minutes.
Sanyaolu evaded the Charlton defender and clipped an audacious finish over the goalkeeper into the bottom corner.
The away side led for all of 10 minutes, before Ellis McMillan levelled the scoring for Charlton. Shia-Lee Burnham did well to nick the ball away from the QPR defence and fed it through to McMillan, who produced a tidy finish into the bottom corner.
Chances fell to both sides to win in the closing stages, but neither team could find the decisive breakthrough.
Jason Pearce’s side are next in action on Thursday when they travel to Watford in the FA Youth Cup (KO 7pm GMT).
