U18 REPORT | QPR 1 Charlton 2

'

Charlton’s U18s came from behind to secure a 2–1 victory away to Queens Park Rangers at the TSG Training Centre on Monday.

The young Addicks created a flurry of chances to open the scoring in the first half, but it was the hosts who struck first just before the half-hour mark. Josh Wright rose highest at the back post to head home from a corner, giving QPR the lead.

Charlton drew level in first-half stoppage time. Kacper Podgorny threaded a through ball to Kayode Peterkin, who rounded the QPR defence and goalkeeper before calmly slotting home.

For much of the second half, the scores remained level, with both sides continuing to create chances.

Raynon Richman completed the turnaround for Charlton three minutes from full time with a superb strike. Weaving his way past the QPR back line, he unleashed a powerful effort that flew beyond Kasey Taylor in goal, leaving Jason Pearce’s side coming away from West London with all three points.
