U21 PREVIEW | Reading v Charlton

'

Charlton's U21s return to league action on Monday afternoon, taking on Reading at the Royals' Bearwood Park training ground (2pm KO GMT).

Danny Senda's young Addicks will be looking to maintain their unbeaten start to 2023 having kicked off the new year with a 3-2 triumph over Hull City and a 1-1 draw with Swansea City.

Reading currently sit fifth in the Professional Development League 2 – South table, a point and two places above Charlton but with two games in hand.

The Royals came from behind to claim a 2-1 triumph in the reverse fixture at Sparrows Lane in October 2022, with second-half strikes from Mamadi Camara and Hamid Abdul-Salam cancelling out Aaron Henry's opener.
