Charlton will be hoping to start 2018 by recording an important three points against Gillingham at The Valley on Monday afternoon (3pm).
The Addicks, missing a number of key men through injury, earned an impressive point against league leaders Wigan Athletic on Friday night and although they are now winless in seven games they are sure to take confidence from their performance.
A win will move them back closer to the play-off pack and The Gills, meanwhile, will arrive in SE7 in a fairly comfortable position.
After a slow start to the campaign, they have lifted themselves to 18th in the Sky Bet League One table and currently sit on 28 points shared a 2-2 draw with AFC Wimbledon on Saturday.
A number of first-teamers remain sidelined for Karl Robinson. Tariqe Fosu, Chris Solly, Jake Forster-Caskey, Jason Pearce, Leon Best, Billy Clarke, Patrick Bauer and Lewis Page are all injured.
Harry Lennon should be fine to take his place in the squad again after suffering with cramp at Wigan on Friday night. Mark Marshall should also be available again.
For Gillingham, former Addick Scott Wagstaff will be hoping to make his Valley return after recovering from a hamstring injury. Billy Bingham is out with a broken ankle.
Charlton and Gillingham have met 31 times in the past with the Addicks winning on 14 of those occasions. There have also been 12 draws, while The Gills have come out on top five times.

Oliver Langford will take charge of the New Year’s Day clash at The Valley.
So far this season, he has overseen 23 matches - 16 of which have been in the Championship - where he has brandished 76 yellow cards and three reds.
He last officiated Charlton in September 2016, for the home fixture against AFC Wimbledon in SE7.
Langford will be supported by linesmen Lee Venamore and Geoffrey Russell and fourth official Daniel Leach.

The North Stand’s free entry supporters’ bar will be open as usual, with its doors opening from midday.
All season ticket holders and Charlton fans with match tickets are welcome to visit the Fans’ Bar and supporters can purchase food and drinks in there. On Monday, a slow roasted beef with English mustard served in a sour dough bap will be available for £6.
Supporters are reminded that they can connect to The Valley’s FREE stadium wifi during the game.
