Ezri Konsa helps England U21s book place in Toulon Tournament final

Ezri Konsa helped England U21s into the final of the Toulon Tournament with a 3-1 victory over Scotland on Wednesday evening.

The 20-year-old academy graduate started on the bench for the Young Lions, but emerged as an 80th-minute substitute in place of goalscorer Callum Connolly to see out the semi-final win.

Scotland had taken the lead on the half-hour mark, but Everton youngster Connolly equalised after the break before Arsenal’s Edward Nketiah put England ahead and Connolly secured his brace as Aidy Boothroyd’s side eased into the final.

Current Addicks Player of the Year, Jay Dasilva, started and completed the match and the victory sets up a final showdown with Mexico on Saturday with England hoping to secure a third straight Toulon Tournament success.
