Valley Review goes pink on Tuesday with 50p of every sale going to Cancer Research

50p from every sale of Tuesday evening’s matchday programme will go to Cancer Research UK as the club continue to support Lyle Taylor’s Go Pink campaign.

The Addicks striker has been sporting dyed pink hair and matching bright pink boots throughout October in a bid to raise money and awareness for the charity and Tuesday evening’s edition of Valley Review will be following suit when Oxford United visit SE7.

The special pink issue, priced £3, features an in-depth interview with Taylor about the initiative in which he discusses his decision to go pink, how he and his family have been affected by cancer and how he has been overwhelmed by the support offered by the Charlton community.

Meanwhile, we meet the U7s team who have raised over £1,000 for the charity by going pink as well as some U10 Addicks-supporting footballers who have also gone above and beyond for the course.

Elsewhere in the 64-page programme, Lee Bowyer pens his notes as he looks back at Saturday’s victory over Barnsley, while Jed Steer also reflects on the impressive Valley performance.

Paul Mortimer is the next Addicks legend to reveal his all-time Charlton teammates lineup in Addicks XI and we take a look back at four memorable past encounters with Oxford, including the game in which a certain Clive Mendonca opened his account for the club in 1997.

The Charlton Museum continue their regular column with a look at some of the club’s most comprehensive victories, with a focus on some incredible results during the formative years, while the latest academy and women’s team action is rounded up as usual.

All this and more can be found in Valley Review which is available to purchase from in and around ground, as well as in the Valley Superstore for £3, with 50p going to a fantastic cause to support Cancer Research UK.
