"Load of rubbish!" - Bowyer on no Charlton player making the League One Team of the Year

Charlton boss Lee Bowyer was not happy none of his team made it into the Sky Bet League One Team of the Year.

His full press conference will be available on Valley Pass this afternoon. Valley Pass costs just £6.50 per month.

Lyle Taylor has been, through goals (18) and assists (eight), involved in more goals than any other player in League One this season while Joe Aribo, Patrick Bauer, Naby Sarr and Chris Solly have all appeared in more than 30 games this season for the promotion-chasing Addicks.

Speaking in this morning’s pre-Oxford United press conference, Bowyer said: “Yeah, that’s crazy, no? Who was in it? I can understand the Luton players, but are you telling me none of my players are in? Crazy.

“But whoever does these things, it’s just a waste of time. Tell me another midfielder other than Josh Cullen? You’re talking rubbish. It’s a waste of time doing them things, because people just pick who they want. You’re telling me none of my players are in the top eleven? Load of rubbish.”

The Sky Bet League One Team of the Year was:

Gk: Adam Davies (Barnsley)

The full press conference will be available on Valley Pass this afternoon. Valley Pass costs just £6.50 per month.
