TEAM NEWS | Four changes as Schwartz makes first start

Lee Bowyer has made four changes to his side to take on Swindon Town at The Valley this afternoon, most notably handing Danish striker Ronnie Schwartz his first start for the club.

Following the 2-1 midweek loss at Peterborough United, midfielder Jonny Williams comes into the starting XI, while Chuks Aneke also returns alongside Schwartz up top. Adam Matthews replaces Jason Pearce in defence.

Lee Bowyer once again names Ben Amos in goal while Matthews, Chris Gunter, Deji Oshilaja and Ian Maatsen make up the defence. Darren Pratley captains the side in midfield alongside Jake Forster-Caskey, Wiliams and Liam Millar. Up front, a strike partnership of Aneke and Schwartz is preferred, after the two impressed in the comeback against Rochdale last time out at The Valley.

New signing Jayden Stockley makes the bench, having completed his move yesterday. Albie Morgan also returns to the bench, having sat out his one-match ban.. Andrew Shinnie is amongst the subs for the second successive game as he returns from injury, having featured off the bench against Peterborough.

Ashley Maynard-Brewer remains sidelined as the goalkeeper follows concussion protocol, while Ryan Innis and Akin Famewo continue their rehabilitation from injury. Midfielders Marcus Maddison and Ben Watson returned to training this week, but the game has come too soon for the pair.

Charlton: Amos; Matthews, Gunter, Oshilaja, Maatsen; Millar, Forster-Caskey, Pratley, Williams; Aneke, Schwartz.

Subs: Harness, Pearce, Stockley, Gilbey, Shinnie, Washington, Morgan.
