TRAVEL | ULEZ extended to include Charlton

Supporters travelling to The Valley by vehicle should be aware that Transport for London's Ultra low Emission Zone (ULEZ) has been extended to within the South Circular, including Charlton and its surrounding areas.

The ULEZ is an area of London where the most polluting vehicles must pay a levy of £12.50 in order to use the roads.

To help clean up London's air, the ULEZ operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, every day of the year, except Christmas Day). The zone now covers all areas within the North and South Circular Roads. The North Circular (A406) and South Circular (A205) roads are not in the zone.

Will my car be affected?

Most diesel cars registered before September 2015 and most vans registered before September 2016 are subject to the ULEZ charge. Most cars with petrol engines registered before 2001 are liable, together with some vehicles registered between 2001 and 2005.

You can check to see if your car is compliant by clicking here to visit TFL's vehicle checker page.
