Jackson focussed on Tuesday's Papa John's Trophy game against MK Dons

Johnnie Jackson is focussed on progressing to the next round of the Papa John’s Trophy on Tuesday, when the Addicks host MK Dons at The Valley (7pm GMT).

Charlton progressed comfortably through the group stages before beating Aston Villa U21s at The Valley last month. The winner of Tuesday’s tie will take a place in the competition’s quarter-finals.

Jackson said: “It’s a game we want to win and we’ll put out a strong team for. We’ve got good players that find themselves on the bench or out of the squad, so it will be an opportunity for those players.

“I think I could make 11 changes and still have a strong team, I’m not saying that is what I am going to do but it will certainly be an opportunity for the players that have been on the fringes of things to come in and make an impact with a view to wanting to still have a strong team, win the game and progress.”

Tickets for Tuesday’s game cost just £5 for adults and £1 for concessions. Simply click here to get your ticket.
