Harry Arter has returned to parent club Nottingham Forest.
The experienced midfielder joined the Addicks in August and has taken up the option to return to Forest.
Arter played five games during his loan spell at The Valley.
Charlton Manager Johnnie Jackson said: “Harry came in and worked hard during his time at the club. He has been a consummate professional and set a good example to the younger players, we wish him the best for the future.”
