Karin Muya committed to the Addicks ahead of the 2025/26 season by signing a new one-year contract.  

The forward was an ever-present for Karen Hills’ side during her second campaign in SE7, featuring in all 25 games across all competitions and scoring on three occasions. 

Operating out wide, although also able to play as a central forward, the 30-year-old frequently got the better of opposition full-backs as she darted forward with the ball at her feet.  

Muya joined the Addicks in July 2023 following a successful two-season spell at London City Lionesses, during which time she scored a brace against Charlton in April 2022.  

The London-born forward began her career at Chelsea, graduating from the club’s academy and scoring on her professional debut in a WSL match against Everton in 2013 aged 18.  

Following her time at Chelsea, during which she represented England at U19 level, she travelled to the US to play for Notre Dame Fighting Irish in the college system, spent two seasons in France with CSFA Ambilly and Thonon Evian GG FC, and another two years overseas with Orobica and San Marino in Italy’s Serie A.  

She has since made London her home again, and is now settled at The Valley.
