Jodie Hutton signed a new two-year contract with the Addicks in the summer following an impressive debut season in SE7.
Operating out wide on the left and asked to contribute both defensively and going forward, Hutton scored on seven occasions in 20 Women’s Championship games, helping to keep Karen Hills’ side in the hunt for promotion until the penultimate month of the season.
It makes maintaining the services of the 24-year-old for a further two years as valuable as any new addition to Karen Hills’ squad.
Hutton arrived at The Valley, moving from Sheffield United last summer, having previously proven her quality and enjoyed success in the second tier.
The Aston Villa academy graduate experienced promotion twice from the Women’s Championship, first with Villa in 2020, for whom she represented 91 times in all competitions and 21 times in the WSL, then once more during a one-season stay at Bristol City in 2023.
Hutton will be hoping to contribute to a third career promotion come the end of the 2025/26 campaign.
