American midfielder Gillian Kenney will have her first taste of English football after moving to the Addicks from US college side Providence College ahead of the 2025/26 WSL2 campaign.  

The 22-year-old has signed a one-year contract with the club with the option to stay until 2027. 

An ever-present across four years playing college football, Kenney made a total of 76 appearances for Providence College.  

Equally capable of playing in midfield or further forward, she finished her college career having scored on 13 occasions and earned multiple selections for NEWISA All-New England teams, highlighting the best talents in New England college football.
