The versatile Lucy Fitzgerald joined the Addicks ahead of the 2025/26 WSL2 season, signing a one-year contract with the option of an additional year following her departure from London City Lionesses.
Fitzgerald, who operates primarily in the centre of midfield but is equally comfortable in both defensive and attacking wide roles, left London City Lionesses as the club’s record appearance maker, making her debut in the club’s inaugural game and going on to play 117 times, scoring on six occasions.
The 24-year-old arrives in SE7 having experienced what Karen Hills’ side are determined to achieve - a promotion to the Women’s Super League.
She made 10 appearances for the Pride last season as they won the Women’s Championship, scoring once.
Fitzgerald, who played one season for Millwall Lionesses before the incarnation of London City Lionesses, has also represented England at youth level, including in the 2019 edition of the U19 European Championship.
Her versatility, quality and experience stand to make Fitzgerald a valuable asset to Charlton’s ambitions to emulate the success she was a part of at her former club last season.
