Charlton captain Kiera Skeels signed a new two-year contract with the Addicks ahead of the 2025/26 WSL2 campaign to extend her stay in SE7 into a fifth season.
The club’s joint-longest serving player having arrived in the summer of 2021, skipper Skeels excelled in her first season as club captain, having shared the role during the 2023/24 campaign.
The centre-back's value on and off the pitch was celebrated when she brought up a century of appearances for the Addicks in March, reaching the landmark while leading her side during the 1-1 draw away at Bristol City.
It was one of 25 appearances in all competitions during the 2024/25 season for the centre-back, who was an ever-present for a second successive campaign.
Her experience and leadership qualities that far surpass players more senior than 23-year-old Skeels, and her consistent and fully committed performances at centre-back make her an essential figure in Karen Hills’ side.
A Reading academy graduate, Skeels also has a wealth of youth international experience, including making 12 appearances and scoring four times for England U23s between 2022 and 2024.
