Education
Charlton Athletic Community Trust's (CACT) Education Department works to raise attainment levels and employment aspirations, reduce education drop-out and increase the life skills and resilience of young people.
Working with schools, learning providers and partners, and using the power of Charlton's badge and reach, CACT provides individuals across a broad age range the opportunity to achieve their learning goals.
CACT delivers education provision within schools, Youth Hubs and wider community settings. Programmes include Traineeships for those Not in Education Employment or Training (NEET), Free Tutoring for booster / catch up education and Family Learning to provide parents / carers with the tools to support young people through their education.
The Make it Make Sense programme aims to help secondary school students feel more positive and confident about their futures by breaking down the complexities of life beyond school into manageable, actionable steps.
CACT supports learning in over 60 schools across Royal Greenwich, Bexley, Bromley and Kent. CACT's projects focus on improving participants skills and attitudes to learning, with literacy, numeracy and employability central to our delivery.
