Charlton’s U18s continued their fine form as they ran out 3-0 victors over Watford U21s on Saturday.

Shia-Lee Burnham and Sam Washington-Amoah were both on the scoresheet for the young Addicks, while a late own goal from the Hornets helped Jason Pearce’s side to a 3-0 win.

The first hour of the game was an even contest until Burnham opened the scoring on 64 minutes. His headed effort was initially saved by Finlay Murray, but he tucked away the rebound to give Charlton the lead.

Washington-Amoah doubled the young Addicks’ advantage not long after. Dionte Davis played a low ball into the box, which Amoah finished neatly into the bottom corner to make it 2-0.

Charlton had their third eight minutes before full-time courtesy of a Watford own goal. Washington-Amoah sent a searching ball into the box, which was turned home by the Hornets defender.
