Charlton's U21s made it three wins on the spin with a 2-1 victory at Bristol City on Monday afternoon.

It took less than a minute for the young Addicks to open the scoring at the Robins High Performance Centre. Kai Enslin's deep corner was kept alive by Patrick Casey and the striker guided the ball into the path of captain Keenan Gough, who headed home from close range.

Casey turned finisher on 22 minutes, nodding Henry Rylah's wonderful delivery beyond Max O'Leary in the Robins goal.

The Robins halved the deficit six minutes after the restart through skipper Louie Derrick, whose powerful effort cannoned off Tommy Reid's left post and into the back of the net.

It was a thoroughly professional display from Chris Lock's side thereafter, keeping a spirited Bristol City side at bay to claim another three points.

The U21s are next in action on Tuesday, October 7th when they travel to Margate in the Kent Senior Cup (KO 7.45pm BST).
