A superb second-half comeback from Charlton's U21s saw the spoils shared at Princes Park in a 3-3 encounter against Crewe Alexandra.
Henry Rylah bagged a brace for the young Addicks, with Reuben Reid finding the back of the net with an emphatic strike.
It was a nightmare start to the afternoon for the U21s as the visitors added two early goals.
The first came as the Railwaymen countered with pace, seeing Harvey Griffiths’ long range strike sneak in at the far post.
Just four minutes later and they had their second through Stanley Dancey, as the skipper’s deflected strike crept in past Lennon MacLorg ahead of the 15-minute mark.
Charlton responded well to the setback, having a handful of chances before Emmanuel Sol-Loza was clipped in the box. The referee had no hesitation in pointing to the spot, allowing Rylah to coolly halve the deficit.
The opposition soon regained their two-goal cushion ahead of the interval, finding a third through Ryan Chadwick from close range.
Reid was next to net as he cut in on his right foot after the hour mark, scoring his side's second with a superb strike into the top corner.
The comeback was complete as the young Addicks drew level with 13 minutes left on the clock. There was an instant impact from substitute Bradley Tagoe as the winger danced his way into the box, crossing for Rylah to head home his second of the afternoon.
Up next for the U21s is a trip to Hull City on Tuesday, September 16th (KO 1pm BST).
