Charlton's U21s secured their spot in the third round of the GoCardless Kent Senior Cup with a 3-2 victory at Margate on Tuesday night.

The young Addicks made a bright start at Hartsdown Park and took the lead on the 15-minute mark through Emmanuel Sol-Loza, who fired his shot past Reece Hobbs after being found by Henry Rylah.

Max Walsh levelled the scores on 33 minutes with an impressive finish into the bottom corner from 20 yards.

At the other end, Sol-Loza almost bagged his and Charlton's second, but moments later it was the hosts who had the lead as Jack Peters turned home a corner in a crowded box.

Rylah enjoyed an early flurry of chances in the second period, first seeing his shot superbly saved by Hobbs before Harrison Hatfull hooked his effort off the line five minutes later with the goalkeeper beaten.

Substitute Patrick Casey was next to go close for the young Addicks, but Hobbs produced another smart stop to preserve the hosts' advantage.

Charlton's leveller deservedly came 14 minutes from time as Sol-Loza capitalised on an error at the back to convert.

Just a minute later, Casey completed the turnaround with the match-winning moment, converting Ethan Brown's cross at the back post.

The U21s are next in action on Friday when they visit Colchester United (KO 1pm BST).
