Having played 27 competitive fixtures across the calendar year, Charlton's women have proved themselves unstoppable with 17 wins, seven draws and only two losses. We take a look back at their incredible year below.
CHARLTON'S WOMEN FORGE AHEAD IN EARLY 2025
The Addicks started the year with a huge FA Cup fixture against acclaimed WSL outfit, Chelsea. Despite ultimately falling to defeat, Charlton performed well against the eventual competition winners. Nevertheless, the Addicks moved forward with resilience, starting the year with a three-game winning streak in the league across January and February.
The springtime also showed promise as Charlton remained unbeaten for the rest of the season, drawing four and winning three matches, including a final win at Southampton to draw the 24/25 campaign to a close.
A SUMMER OF CHANGE
The summer brought plenty of change to the dressing room. Additions to the squad included Lucia Lobato, Gillian Kenney, Ellie Mason, Mary McAteer, Anna Pedersen, Lucy Fitzgerald, Amalie Thestrup and Keira Flannery, whilst seven contract extensions were signed, including Jodie Hutton, Charlotte Newsham, Elisha N'Dow, Glória Siber, Karin Muya, Kiera Skeels and Mia Ross.
Meanwhile, WSL Football announced changes to the formatting of the WSL and WSL 2 which would see three possible WSL 2 promotional spots for the 2025/26 season in an effort to expand the top flight to 14 teams by 2026/27.
It was announced that first and second place spots will earn automatic promotion, whilst the third place runner-up in WSL 2 will compete in a play-off against the 12th placed WSL team for the final spot in the top flight.
A NEW SEASON FOR CHARLTON ATHLETIC WOMEN
As Autumn dawned upon The Valley, The Addicks returned to action, beginning their 2025/26 Barclay's WSL 2 campaign with a 1-0 home win on our opening day derby against Crystal Palace.
The Addicks went on to conquer the North-East, winning away against Durham, Sunderland AFC and Newcastle United.
As they moved into Subway League Cup action, Charlton impressed despite defeat to West Ham United, pulling a shock win at Brighton & Hove Albion. The Addicks bowed out at the group stage, settling for second place although even on points with first placed WSL outfit West Ham.
As the results came rolling in, so did the awards. Charlton Women's gaffer Karen Hills won LMA/WSL's Manager of the Month in November, whilst Jodie Hutton, Charlotte Newsham, Sophie Whitehouse and Katie Bradley were also shortlisted for awards by WSL Football, PFA and Her Game Too.
Sophie Whitehouse won two consecutive British Gas Save of the Month awards in October and November, whilst Jodie Hutton secured Player of the Month awards from WSL and Her Game Too in October.
The Addicks continued their winning ways, officially reaching the milestone of a full calendar year undefeated in the league with a 2-0 win at home against Bristol City - the very same team to who they last fell in league competition defeat to.
As the year drew to a close, Charlton entered into the 2025/26 Adobe Women's FA Cup competition, advancing to the fourth round with an exciting 3-2 win against Watford at home.
The Addicks finally finished off the year with a huge fixture against Nottingham Forest where they came from behind, scoring in the last minute of added time to finish with a 2-1 win.
