Anderson: 'It's all at stake'

Karoy Anderson says he and his teammates are relishing Saturday's top-of-the-table contest against Wrexham at the STōK Cae Ras.

"It's all at stake, so everyone's going to be up for it," explained the midfielder. "You don't really need to motivate anyone because these are the moments we really want to be playing in.

"We're staying focused and we're not getting too excited, but we're very pleased with what we're doing. We know we can really go and do something so it's just complete focus at the moment."

The 20-year-old headed home the Addicks' fourth goal during Monday's statement win over Wycombe Wanderers, prompting jubilant scenes in front of the sold out away end.

"It was an incredible game to be a part of," said Anderson. "Not many games like that come around when you're fighting for something and playing against a top team, so to go and win in the way that we did was incredible.

"The amount of fans was mad! When the ball goes in, to hear the sound that they made... you can't really put words to it.

"The fans are like the 12th man. They drive us, especially when we could be facing tough times during a game you just hear them backing us. We're really looking forward to Saturday and hopefully we can put in a top performance for them."

The Jamaican international, who has featured 41 times for Charlton across all competitions this season, is pleased with his continued development under the guidance of Nathan Jones.

"I've definitely made a lot of improvements from last season and the gaffer's been a key reason why," he said. "As much as you'll have tough times and good times, overall I think there's been progression and I'm just glad to see that I'm improving, especially under the gaffer with the work that he's putting in for me."
