Charlton Athletic are pleased to announce a new partnership with MBST Health UK, formalising an ongoing collaboration focused on enhancing player recovery plans and advancing clinical research in elite sport.
MBST, a non-invasive medical technology using low-energy magnetic resonance, has been integrated into the club’s sports medicine programme since the 2024/25 season. Following a successful trial period, the partnership will now extend through the current campaign and into the 2026/27 campaign.
The collaboration will see Charlton’s medical team continue to utilise MBST within players’ treatment and recovery plans, while contributing to a structured research programme exploring its impact on musculoskeletal injury recovery and return-to-play timelines.
Adam Coe, Head of Medical at Charlton Athletic, said: "As the physical demands of professional football continue to rise, maintaining player availability is critical.
"MBST complements our evidence-based approach and is used as part of our wider rehabilitation programmes to support injury recovery and return-to-play timelines. We are already seeing promising results, with players benefiting from this exciting technology."
Liz Clare, Managing Director of MBST UK, added: "Formalising our partnership with Charlton Athletic is a big moment for MBST and a testament to the impact of our technology. The club’s commitment to player welfare and innovation makes it an ideal partner for our research.
"Together, we are gaining insights that will help push the boundaries of sports medicine."
This partnership reflects the Addicks' continued investment in performance, innovation and player welfare, ensuring the club remains at the forefront of elite sports medicine.
