Club appoint Head of Football Administration

Corey Boyd

Charlton Athletic are pleased to confirm the appointment of Corey Boyd as Head of Football Administration as club legend Chris Parkes steps aside.

Boyd joins the club from Tottenham Hotspur where he was Academy Secretary, replacing Parkes who had stepped in as Interim Club Secretary.

Parkes has been invited into the boardroom for Saturday’s fixture against Burton Albion to thank him for everything he has done for the club.

Managing Director James Rodwell said: "Finding the right Head of Football administration has been really important for us and Corey was the clear standout of the candidates we interviewed. He is bright, diligent, enthusiastic, tech-savvy and professional. Importantly too, he has experience working at elite level.

"A key focus for us is on driving standards to elevate the football club. Corey is the latest in a series of appointments that are helping us do just that.

"I’d like to extend my heartfelt thanks to Chris Parkes. Not for the first time, he stepped up in Charlton Athletic’s time of need. His interim support since rejoining us in October has been vitally important.

"Chris is a man with Charlton at his heart, who is very much loved by everyone at the football club. Knowing Chris, he’ll be a support for Corey whenever he needs it and I know he and his wife Sue will be cheering on the team at The Valley for many years to come - we look forward to welcoming them to The Valley for Saturday’s game."
