Charlton Athletic are pleased to announce the appointment of Chris Samson as the club’s Head of Marketing.

In this newly-created role, Samson will lead the club’s marketing and ticketing teams and will join Charlton’s Senior Leadership Team.
His appointment is the latest in a series of additions at The Valley as the club adapts to the increased demands of the Sky Bet Championship and Barclays WSL 2, alongside a growing fanbase.

The club have also appointed Jonny Shields as Commercial Manager for Charlton Athletic Women and recruitment is under way for a Marketing Manager and Communications Manager for Charlton Athletic Women.
In addition, Hannah Jacobs has been appointed Fan Engagement Officer. Having worked within the club’s fan engagement team on matchdays since the start of the season, she has joined in a permanent role and taken on supporter liaison responsibilities.
Meanwhile, Diego Avanzi has been appointed as Executive Assistant and Office Manager at The Valley.
