Daniel Kanu nominated for EFL League Two Young Player of the Season

Academy graduate Daniel Kanu has been nominated for the EFL League Two Young Player of the Season award.

The 21-year-old has enjoyed a stand-out campaign on loan at Walsall. The striker has netted 15 goals and registered two assists so far for the Saddlers this season. 

Kanu was also named EA Sports FC Young Player of the Month for September.

Individual Development Coach Dave Huzzey said: "Daniel has done really well during his loan spell, stepping into a new environment and consistently performing, which is reflected in his goals." 

"His attitude and willingness to learn have been excellent, and this nomination is fully deserved."

The awards are being held on Sunday, April 19th and will be live on Sky Sports Football.
