Charlton’s U18s extended their winning run on Tuesday afternoon with a 2–1 victory over Millwall’s U18s.
Millwall came closest to opening the scoring before half-time but couldn’t make their chances count. The two sides went into half time level.
Shia-Lee Burnham opened the scoring for the young Addicks on 53 minutes. Kacper Podgorny had a shot on goal that was parried away by Casper Lindner, but only as far as Burnham, who tucked home the rebound.
Kayode Peterkin doubled the young Addicks’ advantage with what proved to be the decisive goal. Nehmani Burke delivered a probing ball into the box, which Peterkin poked past Lindner.
Millwall pulled one back in the fourth minute of stoppage time through Ayman Sheikh, but the Addicks held firm to secure all three points.
Jason Pearce’s side are next in action on Saturday, April 11th as they travel to South Yorkshire to take on Barnsley’s U18s (KO 11am BST).
