Managing Director James Rodwell has confirmed that Josh Edwards is set to miss the remainder of the 2025/26 campaign through injury.
Edwards injured his ankle during the Addicks’ 3-0 win over Blackburn Rovers in September 2025 following a challenge with Ryan Alebiosu.
Speaking during Wednesday’s bi-annual Meet The Directors meeting, Rodwell said: "It was an impact injury and anybody that was at The Valley that day saw it. It was a nasty injury and it hasn't quite healed the way that we would have wanted it to do so.
"It’s unlikely that Josh will play for us again this season, but he’ll be back in pre-season. He’ll be back better than new, raring to go for next season."
The defender is now on a specialist rehabilitation protocol with the club’s medical staff and everyone at the club wishes him the very best in his recovery.
