Five Charlton loanees were in action over the weekend across the English divisions.

Alex Gilbey played 66 minutes of Stevenage's 1-0 triumph over Hartlepool United at the Lamex Stadium. That results keeps the Boro second in the Sky Bet League Two standings, three points behind league leaders Leyton Orient.

Meanwhile, Charlie Barker played the full 90 minutes for Wealdstone, helping the Stones to a clean sheet in a goalless draw against high-flying Wrexham in the National League.

Elsewhere in the fifth tier, Charles Clayden was a second-half substitute for Bromley who shared a 1-1 draw with FC Halifax Town at Hayes Lane on Saturday and Lucas Ness played the entirety of Torquay United's 5-1 reverse at home to Chesterfield.

Ness is back in action for the Gulls on Tuesday night as they contest their Emirates FA Cup first round replay with Derby County at Pride Park. Supporters can watch Tuesday's tie live on BBC Three with coverage starting from 7.30pm.

Fellow U21 Dylan Gavin was a late substitute for Tonbridge Angels who held out to claim a 2-1 win over National League South leaders Ebbsfleet United at the Kuflink Stadium. In doing so the Angels inflicted the Fleet to their first league defeat of the season. Jeremy Santos, also at Tonbridge, missed the game with a hamstring injury.

Harris O'Connor started for Hemel Hempsted Town in their 2-2 draw at Oxford City. The defender twice came close to scoring for the National League South side.
