TEAM NEWS

Michael Appleton is hopeful of welcoming back one or two players from injury for this weekend's clash.

Harry Isted (knee), Lloyd Jones (quad), Lucas Ness (knee), Conor McGrandles (calf), Terry Taylor (ankle), Panutche Camará (hamstring), Chuks Aneke (hamstring) have all been sidelined in recent weeks, while Miles Leaburn (hamstring) is a long-term absentee.

Sam Hughes (calf), Kwadwo Baah (hamstring) and Cole Stockton (illness) will all be assessed by the visitors, though Mark Helm (foot) is unavailable.

THE OPPOSITION

Burton, who parted company with Dino Maamria earlier this month, currently sit 19th in the Sky Bet League One table and are currently enduring a seven-game winless run in the league.

Brewers caretaker boss Gary Mills took control of his first game last Saturday - a 3-0 defeat at Oxford United.

HEAD-TO-HEAD

Charlton and Burton have clashed on nine previous occasions with the Addicks winning six, the Brewers two and the remaining meeting resulting in a draw.

The last meeting between the two sides came at The Valley in April 2023, when Charlton ran out 3-2 victors.

MATCH OFFICIALS

Lee Swabey will oversee proceedings this weekend. The official has refereed 14 games so far this season, showing 67 yellow cards and two red cards.

Swabey will be assisted by Conor Farrell and Stephen Finch, while Leigh Crowhurst is the Fourth Official.
