MATCH PREVIEW | Charlton v Northampton Town

'

The Addicks return to The Valley on Friday afternoon to host Northampton Town (KO 3pm BST).

Charlton recorded another three points last weekend, picking up a 1-0 win on the road against Cambridge United thanks to Tyreece Campbell's early strike.

Friday's fixture is set to be the highest attended Easter game at The Valley since 2009. Don't miss out - click here to purchase your tickets now!

Given the bumper crowd, supporters are advised to arrive early in SE7 to avoid queues.

TEAM NEWS

Asked about the fitness of Lloyd Jones (calf), Nathan Jones said: "Lloyd’s recovered really, really well, so we’re hoping to have him back over the weekend for the game."

Miles Leaburn (quad) remains sidelined for the Addicks.

The visitors will be without Charlton loanee Terry Taylor and Nesta Guinness-Walker, who is suspended following two bookable offences last time out.

THE OPPOSITION

The Cobblers currently sit 19th in the Sky Bet League One table, five points above the drop zone.

Kevin Nolan’s side will look to continue momentum built in their previous two fixtures - a 4-0 win at Peterborough United and a goalless draw at home to play-off chasing Reading.

HEAD-TO-HEAD

The two sides have locked horns on 38 previous occasions with the Addicks winning 14, the Cobblers 10 and the remaining 14 meetings resulting in draws.

Charlton ran out 5-0 victors in the reverse fixture in December 2025, with skipper Greg Docherty scoring twice and Campbell, Leaburn and Danny Hylton also on target.

MATCH OFFICIALS

Ollie Yates will oversee proceedings on Friday afternoon.

Yates will be assisted by Alex Bradley and Declan O’Shea, while Harry Wager is the Fourth Official.
