Charlton return to The Valley this weekend in a huge Sunday clash with Sheffield United.
Charlton Athletic
After a convincing 2-0 win over Sunderland last weekend, the Addicks remain the only unbeaten side in the league. Winning four of their five games, they are currently top of the league, three points ahead of second-place Birmingham City. Another win would further boost Karen Hills’ side’s promotion ambitions this season.
Sheffield United
Sheffield United have had a tougher start so far, winning just one of their first five games. The Blades earned their first win of the season last weekend, coming out on top as 3-2 winners over recently promoted Ipswich Town, so they will be hoping to carry on their momentum at The Valley on Sunday.
Head-to-head
Charlton did the league double over Sheffield United last season, winning 0-1 and 3-0 respectively. The two sides have faced each other ten times in total, with five of the games ending in draws. Charlton have won three of the games, and Sheffield United have won two.
