The boss also reported one or two unnamed doubts in his Friday press conference, while Mandela Egbo (quad) and Todd Kane (hamstring) remain unavailable as the duo continue their respective rehabilitation programmes.

The visitors will be without Ben Heneghan (knee), Michael Ihiekwe (knee), Callum Paterson (hamstring), while Mallik Wilks (calf) will be assessed having missed the Owls’ last three outings.

Wednesday will also be without Marvin Johnson, who is set to serve a three-match ban for violent conduct.

Darren Moore’s men have amassed 68 points from their 31 league fixtures to date and travel to SE7 enjoying a 19-game unbeaten league run – a joint club record.

Sheffield Wednesday claimed a narrow 1-0 victory in the reverse fixture at Hillsborough back in August 2022 thanks to substitute Tyreeq Bakinson’s late strike.
