TEAM NEWS

Dean Holden revealed that there is a possibility of Miles Leaburn (hip) returning to his matchday squad this weekend.

The boss also reported one or two unnamed doubts in his Friday press conference, while Mandela Egbo (quad) and Todd Kane (hamstring) remain unavailable as the duo continue their respective rehabilitation programmes.

The visitors will be without Ben Heneghan (knee), Michael Ihiekwe (knee), Callum Paterson (hamstring), while Mallik Wilks (calf) will be assessed having missed the Owls’ last three outings.

Wednesday will also be without Marvin Johnson, who is set to serve a three-match ban for violent conduct.

THE OPPOSITION

Sheffield Wednesday regained Sky Bet League One's top spot last weekend with a 5-2 victory against MK Dons at Hillsborough.

Darren Moore’s men have amassed 68 points from their 31 league fixtures to date and travel to SE7 enjoying a 19-game unbeaten league run – a joint club record.

HEAD-TO-HEAD

Charlton and Sheffield Wednesday have gone toe-to-toe on 61 previous occasions with the Addicks winning 20, the Owls 25 and the remaining 16 encounters ending in draws.

Sheffield Wednesday claimed a narrow 1-0 victory in the reverse fixture at Hillsborough back in August 2022 thanks to substitute Tyreeq Bakinson’s late strike.

MATCH OFFICIALS

Benjamin Speedie will oversee proceedings on Saturday. The official last refereed a Charlton fixture in July 2022 – the opening-day draw at Accrington Stanley.

Speedie will be assisted by Paul Stonier and Nicholas Dunn, while Joseph Stokes is the Fourth Official.
