TEAM NEWS
Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Jones said: "Matty Godden is closer to returning and we've been able to get minutes into [Luke] Berry, [Harvey] Knibbs, and Will [Mannion]. Josh [Edwards] has had a surgical procedure which was the best case scenario, speeding up the recovery process, but that is ongoing."
The visitors are expected to be without Pierce Charles (shoulder), Ernie Weaver (foot), Nathaniel Chalobah (hamstring) and Olaf Kobacki (groin).
THE OPPOSITION
The Owls currently sit 23rd in the Sky Bet Championship standings having taken six points from their opening nine games.
Henrik Pedersen's side suffered a heavy defeat at the hands of Coventry City last time out before the international break, losing 5-0 to the league leaders at Hillsborough.
HEAD-TO-HEAD
The two sides have gone toe-to-toe on 62 previous occasions, with the Addicks winning 20 times, the Owls 26 and the remaining 16 encounters ending in draws.
Wednesday ran out 1-0 victors when the teams last met in February 2023, with Liam Palmer netting for the Owls at The Valley.
MATCH OFFICIALS
Tom Reeves will be the man in the middle this weekend.
Reeves will be assisted by Edward Smart and Mark Stevens, while David Webb is the Fourth Official.
