Former Addick Reeco Hackett was substituted with a knock in the Imps' 1-0 win over Fleetwood Town on Saturday and may miss this evening’s clash. Danny Mandroiu will definitely miss the game as he serves the second game of his three-match suspension for a red card against Burton Albion.
Harry Isted (knee), Tayo Edun (hamstring), Conor McGrandles (knee) and Terry Taylor (ankle) remain out for the Addicks, while Appleton confirmed on Monday that striker Chuks Aneke is set for a scan on his hamstring today after picking up an injury in Saturday’s win.
Lincoln recently parted ways with Head Coach Mark Kennedy and Tom Shaw takes temporary charge. Shaw presided over Saturday’s win at Fleetwood Town which took the Imps up to 12th in League One - level on points with the Addicks in 10th.
While they haven’t been free-flowing going forward, only the top two have conceded less goals than Lincoln this season.
The Addicks first played Lincoln in 1932, winning 4-2. Charlton have beaten Lincoln nine times, drawn fives times and lost just four of the match-ups.
Last season, a goalless draw at the LNER Stadium in October was followed by a 2-1 win for the Addicks at The Valley in January with goals from Scott Fraser and Corey Blackett-Taylor.
The game will be refereed by Daniel Middleton, who will be assisted by Alan Clayton and Oliver Bickle. Steve Durnall is the Fourth Official.
Middleton, who is refereeing Charlton for the first time, has officiated 10 games this season, showing 28 yellow cards and two red cards.
The Addicks will be wearing their white third kit for this evening's clash.
