Charlton’s U21s recovered from a two-goal deficit to secure a 2–2 draw away to QPR’s U21s on Friday afternoon.

Chris Lock’s side went behind inside five minutes as Leon Scarlett’s strike deflected beyond George Hardy and into the back of the net.

QPR then doubled their advantage 10 minutes later, and the young Addicks found themselves two goals behind inside 16 minutes.

Reuben Amissah pulled a goal back for Charlton just before half-time, with the team going into the break trailing 2-1.

Ellis McMillan was introduced by Chris Lock with a quarter of an hour remaining. The forward brought the Addicks level less than 10 minutes later, with only minutes of normal time left to play.

Charlton were made to work hard late on in the game to secure a point, as it ended 2-2.

Charlton’s U21s are next in action on Tuesday, January 27th as they take on Colchester United’s U21s at Princes Park (KO 1pm GMT)
