Charlton 4 Bradford City 1 (September 21st 1997)

Clive Mendonca opened the scoring for Charlton before Bradford pulled one back to level things up. Next, came a moment of pure genius from Paul Mortimer as he skipped past three players before nutmegging a fourth and driving the ball into the bottom-right corner past the goalkeeper.

The Addicks piled more misery onto The Bantams with a third when defender Steve Brown took a touch before smashing a shot from long range into the corner. The man who started off the afternoon then ended it when Mendonca finished off a low cross from the right with a neat strike.

Charlton 2 Bradford City 0 (November 4th 2000)

The Addicks secured a routine, Premier League victory at The Valley with goals from Jonatan Johansson and Graham Stuart. The first came after just four minutes when Johansson latched onto Stuart’s smart cross to knock into an empty net.

Provider turned scorer when Stuart bagged the second, with a brilliant drive forward before exchanging a quick one-two and then firing in the net past to give the Addicks all three points. Bradford’s Ashley Ward came closest to grabbing a consolation but was denied by Dean Kiely, as it wasn’t to be for The Bantams.

Bradford City 0 Charlton 3 (January 10th 1990)

An emphatic victory was earned by the Red Robins with a clean sheet in the FA Cup third round. The tie had been forced into a replay after a 1-1 draw at Selhurst Park three days previous, in which Andy Jones had scored for Charlton.

Jones got his name on the scoresheet again in the replay and this time his strike came after goals from Robert Lee and Paul Williams to give Charlton an impressive route into round four.

Bradford City 0 Charlton 2 (September 15th 2018)

The Addicks’ most recent encounter with The Bantams ended in victory at Valley Parade earlier this season. Karlan Grant scored the first goal of the match early on with some flash footwork before smashing the ball into the corner of the net.

The second goal arrived in the last 10 minutes and came in the form of a lovely, curling strike from Lyle Taylor that flew into the top-right corner. The win extended Charlton’s unbeaten run against Bradford to 17 years.
