On day three and pre-season so far…
“Enjoyable more than anything. Obviously coming into a new team is always going to be difficult but the lads have been more than welcoming in helping me to settle in so I’m finally coming out of my shell now and I’m really enjoying it.
"You know it’s not going to be easy, but I think it’s what everyone needs to get into the right mind-frame especially physically and mentally for the long season ahead.
"It is going to be tough, there’s no hiding that and the best thing we can do is work really hard and try and prepare ourselves the best we can for it.”
On the team spirit here and joining after spending so long at Bristol Rovers…
"I’ve never played with any of the lads here before, but I’ve had good battles with Lyle [Taylor] and [Jason] Pearce and [Darren] Pratley over the years so you get to know each other from that as well. But since I’ve come in everyone has been fantastic and like I said I’m really enjoying it at the minute."
On the upcoming friendly…
"It’s what everyone likes to do, play games. That’s the be all and end all of football isn’t it? Everyone will be looking forward to it. It’ll be tough with the heat and what-not but I don’t know if you can call it a training game because a game’s a game at the end of the day and you want to win it, I’m sure they’ll be feeling the same and I’m sure everyone will be looking forward to that one."
