Win a free beer in the Fans' Bar on Saturday

Supporters celebrating

Supporters can win a free beer in the Meantime Fans’ Bar ahead of Saturday’s game against Leyton Orient at The Valley thanks to the club’s newest partners, Wearebrandnew.

The sustainable marketing agency became the men’s first-team’s sleeve sponsors earlier this week and have installed new artwork in the free Meantime Fans’ Bar that shows just how passionate the Charlton fan base is.

Using photographs by the excellent Paul Edwards, the art work captures Charlton supporters cheering their team on and in moments of joy celebrating goals scored at The Valley.

Supporters arriving in the Meantime Fans’ Bar between 12pm and 1.30pm on Saturday, who spot themselves in the art work, with one of 20 specially-made discs pointing at them, should speak to one of the Wearebrandnew brand ambassdaors and to claim their free beer, soft drink or single shot with a mixer.

Darren New, founder of Wearebrandnew and lifelong Charlton fan, said: “It’s an exciting time for the club after what have been a really challenging few years for supporters. We’re working with the club on a variety of projects that will hopefully bring the club and its supporters closer together again.

“Paul’s photography is amazing and highlights the connection we, as fans, have with Charlton Athletic and the new art work makes an excellent addition to the Meantime Fans’ Bar. The competition is a bit of fun but we’re sure supporters will enjoy seeing themselves and their loved ones on the wall in the bar for years to come. ”

The Meantime Fans’ Bar opens at 12pm and will be showing Celtic’s Scottish Premiership clash with Ross County from 12.30pm.

Supporters will be able to watch international rugby in the Meantime Fans’ Bar post-game from 5.30pm as Wales take on England.

Street food available at the east end of the Meantime Fans' Bar on Saturday includes:

  • Prime beef quarter pounder with cheese in a brioche bun with pickles, salad and lattice fries
