Be part of Saturday's Greener Game

'

The club’s annual Greener Game will take place at The Valley this Saturday, as the Addicks host Norwich City (KO 3pm GMT).

This marks the fourth year that the club have delivered its Greener Game initiative in partnership with front-of-shirt sponsors and official sustainability partner RSK, a global leader in the delivery of environmental and engineering solutions, alongside the club’s Community Trust.

The fixture is set to be the highest-attended league game at The Valley in 2026, with more than 20,000 tickets already sold. Supporters attending are encouraged to make small changes in their own lives to help protect the planet, while also helping Charlton Athletic climb the Pledgeball league table. Fans can take part and be in with a chance of winning prizes by making a pledge.

The club’s Chief Financial and Operations Officer Ed Warrick said: "At the very heart of Charlton Athletic is community, and a key part of the board’s vision is to ensure the club is sustainable, for the long-term benefit of this wonderful community.

"At Saturday’s match, we will welcome 1,400 children and families from our Schools Partnership, alongside many members of our esteemed academy, as we celebrate both the academy and Valley Gold. With so many talented young people in attendance, it serves as a powerful reminder of why the work we are doing, as a football club and as individuals, is so important.

"That focus drives our decision-making throughout the year. Improvements to the stadium over the past 12 months, such as the installation of new LED floodlights and pitch lighting, have been made with sustainability in mind. These upgrades use less energy and are more cost-efficient to run. In addition, we have introduced a new waste contractor, with a strong emphasis on sustainability. That focus does not stop and we are asking supporters to do their bit where they can to play their part in helping the club reach its sustainability goals."

RSK Sports and Leisure Director Wayne Mumford added: "As Charlton’s official sustainability partner and front-of-shirt sponsor, RSK has been working closely with the club to embed environmental thinking into operations and fan engagement. The Greener Game initiative for this year builds on that shared commitment to highlighting how supporters could travel to games more sustainably.

"RSK believes that meaningful progress on sustainability comes from collaboration and action. By working with Charlton Athletic and its supporters, the partnership is helping to demonstrate how sport can play a leading role in tackling environmental challenges."
