As part of Charlton Athletic’s commitment to environmental sustainability and as part of its drive to achieve EFL Green Club Gold status, the club are launching a fan travel survey to better understand how supporters travel to The Valley after the next three men’s first-team home matches ahead of the club’s Greener Game against Norwich City on Saturday, March 21st.
This information is critical to help the club understand fans’ travel habits and to inform the club as to how it could work with local transport providers, such as Southeastern Railway, TfL, DLR and Thameslink to improve the travel experience for fans and influence greener travel.
Charlton is rightly proud of its long-running and ground breaking Valley Express and Valley Away coach services, which run alongside its official travel partner Bayliss Executive Travel, but also want to understand your personal journey to help the club make sustainable travel visible, celebrated and easy.
Charlton fans over the age of 18 who attend any of the following fixtures and are signed up to receive emails from the club will receive the travel survey by email on the day after the fixture:
- Portsmouth - Tuesday, February 17th
- Wrexham - Saturday, February 28th
- Birmingham City - Saturday, March 7th
Supporters who complete the travel survey have the chance to be entered into a prize draw where they could win a private tour of The Valley (for up to four people*), kindly donated by the club's sustainability partner and front-of-shirt sponsor RSK.
Fans who complete the survey after the Portsmouth or Wrexham games will also have the opportunity to be chosen to make their own travel blog showing your journey using a sustainable mode of transport to the Birmingham City fixture and for this video to be shown at the Greener Game against Norwich City on Saturday, March 21st.
The club thanks all supporters for their continued support and for helping Charlton in its efforts to improve its environmental sustainability.
* Terms and conditions apply to the prize-winning tour of The Valley, including dates and times when the tour can take place before May 31st, 2026.
