Conor Coventry was left frustrated with Charlton's result on Wednesday evening, as they were condemned to a 2-1 defeat to Ipswich Town.
"I think we knew it was always going to be a tough game; they are one of the best teams in the league," Coventry explained.
"We gave it a real go, it was close and a tight game, and it was a tough one to take really."
"We have a strong squad, and everyone wants to be given hat chance to play, we came out of the blocks fast, and we are gutted we didn’t get a result out of it."
"I think the first goal [from Ipswich] is on the counter and there was a bit of quality on the finish, and then they got a penalty and that is tough to take."
"We've score so many goals attacking the Covered End and I really thought we were going to get another one today. We came close a few times, if the ball falls in different places, then we score, it was frustrating that we didn’t today."
"The form from us recently hasn’t been the best and we felt everyone was pushing and pulling in the same direction and we need that on Saturday."
"The mood in the dressing room is that we need to get it done, the fans just want to see a performance and a result and that is what we want as well."
"We have two games, and hopefully only one massive one left, where we can get it done.
"We made an electric start to the season and that comes from home really, the fans set the tone and we will need them on Saturday."
Nathan Jones' men return to Sky Bet Championship action on Saturday for their final home game of the season when they host Hull City (KO 12.30pm BST).
