The Sky Bet Championship, League One and League Two 2026/27 fixtures will be confirmed on Thursday, June 25th at 12pm.
Round one of the Carabao Cup will kick-off the new campaign, before the Championship, League One and League Two begin the following weekend.
Key dates for the 2026/27 season include:
- Carabao Cup - round one: August 7th-9th, 2026
- Sky Bet EFL - opening weekend: August 14th-16th, 2026
- Vertu Trophy - round one: Week commencing September 21st, 2026
All fixtures will be published on EFL channels, with full club-by-club fixtures available on EFL.com and individual club platforms.
The Carabao Cup draw will take place on Fixture Release Day with full details to be confirmed.
Broadcast Selections - 2026/27
- The opening weekend of EFL fixtures across the Championship, League One and League Two will be live on Sky Sports and Sky Sports+ and confirmed on EFL Fixture Release Day.
- By July 2nd, 2026, selections will be announced in respect of all live broadcast matches to be played before the end of September 2026.
- By July 31st, 2026, selections will be confirmed in respect of all live broadcast matches to be played up to, and including, the weekend of January 8th-11th, 2027.
- By November 6th, 2026, selections shall be announced in respect of all matches to be played up to, and including, the midweek of March 2nd-3rd, 2027.
This once again provides fans and clubs up to five months’ notice. By selecting TV picks early and giving much more notice, fans will be able to plan with certainty when making travel and any hotel arrangements.
- Selections for matches scheduled for the weekend of March 5th-8th, 2027 will be announced by February 5th, 2027, followed by weekly announcements looking four-weeks ahead. (For example, the weekend of March 12th-15th, 2027 will be announced by Friday, February 12th, 2027).
- Selections for matches scheduled for the penultimate weekend of the regular season will be announced three weeks in advance.
- Selections for matches scheduled for the final weekend of the regular season will be announced the week prior.
