Leaburn looks ahead to Norwich City match

Miles Leaburn wants to see the Addicks continue their positive momentum when Norwich City visit The Valley on Saturday (KO 3pm GMT).

Nathan Jones' side claimed seven points from a possible nine last week, including back-to-back victories against Birmingham City and Middlesbrough.

"To get seven points from those games was great," Leaburn said. "They were different types of games as well - obviously Middlesbrough and Oxford games are two very different teams and so to get seven points from the three games is good.

"We're just trying to win as many games as possible. We've got eight games left and five of them are at home, so we just want to make sure we get as many points as we can. Norwich are a good team, so it will be a good game.

"I've said all throughout my professional career so far that when the fans are behind us, they're the 12th man on the pitch and it's a massive confidence boost."

The 22-year-old has enjoyed working alongside January signing Lyndon Dykes, who has a wealth of Sky Bet Championship and international experience.

"I've learnt from him, holding up the ball and trying to chest it down in different ways," Leaburn explained. "Obviously sometimes it can bounce off, especially when it's fired in so it's about trying to get the right body shape to get it down.

"It's been a tough season with all of the aerial duels and ground duels, it's a lot more physical. I just want to try and utilise my attributes more to score more goals personally.

"The Championship feels much more intense [than League One]," the striker added. "The ball is on the ground a lot more and the physicality feels a lot more. Defenders, for me, feel a lot smarter in what they do off the ball when people aren't looking."
