LOAN WATCH | Jaiyesimi and Kirk both on target

'

Diallang Jaiyesimi and Charlie Kirk were both on target for their respective loan clubs last weekend.

Jaiyesimi opened his AFC Wimbledon account in a 2-2 draw at home to Hartlepool United, while Kirk scored the second goal of his loan spell at Burton Albion who earned a 2-1 win at Bristol Rovers.

Brewers boss Dino Maamria was full of praise for Kirk, who came on as 25th-minute substitute for the injured Chris McCann. He said: “Kirk has been brilliant – I see him everyday in training and see how good he is. He doesn’t miss chances when he gets them and when he came on today he did really good."

Fellow Addick Sam Lavelle was not involved in Burton’s matchday squad.

Elsewhere in League One, Conor McGrandles registered an assist as Cambridge United claimed a crucial 1-0 victory at home to Oxford United.

Alex Gilbey played 85 minutes of Stevenage’s 2-0 defeat away at Stockport County.

Charlie Barker played the full 90 minutes for National League side Wealdstone who continued their fine home form with a 3-1 victory over York City, while Karoy Anderson was an unused substitute for Aldershot Town in their 4-3 defeat at home to high-flying Wrexham AFC.

U21 duo Mack Reilly and Sahid Kamara both started for Corinthian Casuals who suffered a 3-2 defeat at the hands of Folkestone Invicta in the Isthmian League Premier Division.
