The Addicks are back on home soil this weekend, taking on Bolton Wanderers in Sky Bet League One action (KO 3pm BST).

TEAM NEWS

Speaking in his Friday press conference, Michael Appleton confirmed Chuks Aneke (hamstring) is set to be sidelined for 'a couple of months at least'.

Harry Isted (knee) and Terry Taylor (ankle) remain unavailable for the Addicks.

Carlos Mendes Gomes (hamstring) could return for the visitors having returned to full training, though George Johnston (knee), Zac Ashworth (calf) and Kyle Dempsey (back) are expected to miss out.

THE OPPOSITION

Bolton currently sit fourth in the Sky Bet League One standings, six points behind table toppers Portsmouth with a game in hand.

Ian Evatt’s men have won four of their last five league outings and travel to The Valley on the back of a 4-2 victory at Wycombe Wanderers on Tuesday night.

HEAD-TO-HEAD

Charlton and Bolton have faced off on 95 previous occasions with the Addicks winning 29, Wanderers 46 and the remaining 20 encounters resulting in draws.

The last meeting between the two sides came at The Valley in January 2023, when the visitors claimed a 2-1 triumph thanks to goals from Aaron Morley and Dion Charles.

MATCH OFFICIALS

The match will be overseen by Geoff Eltringham, who will be assisted by Matthew McGrath and Mark Pottage. Dean Whitestone is the Fourth Official.

Eltringham has taken charge of nine games so far this season and has brandished 40 yellow cards and one red card.
