The Addicks are back in action at The Valley on Tuesday night, taking on Portsmouth in the Sky Bet Championship (KO 7.45pm GMT).

The original fixture was postponed after 12 minutes after Charlton Athletic fan Norman 'Heaphones Norm' Barker fell ill in his seat in the Covered End Lower. The match was subsequently abandoned and Norman sadly passed away later that day. 

TEAM NEWS 

Josh Edwards (ankle) and Harvey Knibbs (ankle) are both long-term absentees for the Addicks, while Miles Leaburn (shoulder)

Aji Alese (thigh), Josh Knight (back), Hayden Matthews (ankle), Conor Shaughnessy (thigh), Andre Dozzell (ankle), Mark Kosznovszky (knee), Keshi Anderson (hamstring), Florian Bianchini (knee), Harvey Blair (hip), Josh Murphy (foot), Franco Umeh (hamstring), Conor Chaplin (groin), Adrian Segečić (leg) and Thomas Waddingham (hip) are all sidelined for the visitors.

THE OPPOSITION

Pompey currently sit 21st in the Sky Bet Championship table, a point above the relegation zone.

John Mousinho's men fell to a 1-0 defeat against Sheffield United at Fratton Park last weekend.

Portsmouth are Charlton’s most-played opponents, with the sides having locked horns on 114 previous occasions. The Addicks have won 40 of those, with Pompey winning 44 and the remaining 30 encounters ending in draws.

Pompey ran out 2-1 victors in the reverse fixture at Fratton Park in December 2025.

MATCH OFFICIALS

Leigh Doughty will be the man in the middle on Tuesday night.

Doughty will be assisted by Callum Gough and Lee Venamore, while Farai Hallam has been appointed as the Fourth Official.
