There’s an old adage that says that Black Cabs don’t like coming ‘south of the river'; well, as from this Saturday, February 8th that certainly won't be the case.
The club have worked closely with Asahi and Meantime to bring Fuller’s Black Cab Stout to The Valley and this will be available from this Saturday’s match against Stevenage.
Brewed at Fuller’s iconic Griffin Brewery in Chiswick, London, ‘Black Cab’ launched as a seasonal limited edition in 2011 but due to popular demand, it quickly became part of the brand’s core range. It is a rich, dark beer made from five different malts and has an ABV of 4.2%.
Asahi Brand Director Richard Whitty said: "Stout has continued to skyrocket in 2024, growing at 20.5% year on year and ‘Black Cab’ has grown 150% ahead of the market, which has been driven by both increased distribution and increased rate of sale through existing outlets."
Based on feedback from supporters, having a stout available on matchdays at The Valley will be extremely popular and the club are therefore delighted that, with the full support of catering partners Gather and Gather, fans will be able to, if not hail a ‘Black Cab’, they will be able to order one!
Fuller’s ‘Black Cab’ stout will be available at the following locations at The Valley from Saturday:
- Meantime Fans' Bar
- Fan Zone
- Bartram's
- Alan Curbishley Stand concourse
- Covered End lower concourse
